The YouTube recreation of the play, “Yellow Face,” by David Henry Hwang is able to show just how the “announcer segments” are able to work as well as how scenes are able to swim from one to the other smoothly. Also, the incorporation of visual examples such as that of Hwang’s use of the Siberian actress as an example of Marcus’s heritage, or the use of the Face Value cover as an image pertaining to Hwang’s play are better shown through the tech of a YouTube video rather than on a stage. Hwang is able to best articulate these changes and incorporation of the segments the play illustrates. He has this “fourth dimensional” power to bring the visuals up and at some points, swipe them away. He can also be seen with emails between him and Marcus, the individual he created. The email visuals show a better adaptation of the scene than what the stage can offer between Marcus and Hwang.
